What is a Responsibility and Qualification?
When applying for jobs, employers list qualifications and responsibilities in the job description to outline what they expect from candidates.
Qualifications include skills, education, certifications, and experience levels needed for the role (e.g., 3+ years of project management experience or Proficiency in Python).
Responsibilities describe the tasks and duties required for the position (e.g., Lead a team of designers or Develop and maintain software applications).
Matching your resume to these qualifications and responsibilities can help you stand out to recruiters and pass applicant tracking systems (ATS).
How Does Huntr Include These in My Resume?
Huntr’s Job Match Score analyzes your resume and compares it to the job description, identifying qualifications and responsibilities. Huntr's extension automatically scans the job description and extracts qualifications and responsibilities.
When you being building your Tailored Resume, these will be a key part of the process. If there some qualifications or responsibilities are considered missing, Huntr suggests ways to improve your resume's content. You can use AI-generated suggestions or select existing achievements from your resume to better match the job description.
Low Qualifications & Responsibilities Match
Huntr will identify Qualifications and Responsibilities from the Job Description. Click Improve to incorporate these items into your resume.
Clicking Improve will display a new menu.
Review which Achievements best match the Qualification or Responsibility. This will ensure these are being added to the most applicable achievement.
Choose to generate a new AI Summary or Achievement to incorporate into your Work Experience or Projects.
High Qualifications & Responsibilities Match
Some Responsibilities and Qualifications will have high quality and can still be edited or ignored if you feel they are not applicable to your resume.
To edit the Qualification or Responsibility click Review. You will be able to adjust the text to include or remove any information you see as relevant. You will also be able to choose to regenerate the text with AI to include in your resume.
Ignore / Unignore
Some Qualifications and Responsibilities may not be applicable to your resume. You have the ability to Ignore these suggestions so they no longer impact the score.
Any ignored items will relocate to the bottom of the sidebar. You can also choose to Unignore them to use them again if needed.
