Get Community Feedback on Your Resume
Getting resume feedback from a community like Reddit is incredibly valuable, but it often involves a lot of manual effort. To protect your privacy, you typically have to download your resume, manually anonymize all your personal information, and then create a post.
Huntr's Community Resume Feedback feature streamlines this entire process. With just one click, you can anonymize any Base Resume and post it directly to the r/HuntrCo subreddit to get feedback from real people!
How to Get Community Feedback
1. Access the Feature
Open any Base Resume in Huntr and look for the "Get Feedback" button in the top-right corner, next to "Download PDF." When you click this button, Huntr begins the anonymization process.
2. Review Your Anonymized Resume
After about 5-10 seconds, you'll see a preview screen with two key elements: your anonymized resume and an auto-generated Reddit post.
Your resume preview shows all personally identifiable information replaced with generic placeholders.
Contact information becomes "First Last," "555-555-5555," and "[email protected]."
Portfolio and LinkedIn links show as placeholder URLs.
In your experience and education sections, employer names appear as "Employer 1," school names as "School 1," and locations simply as "Location."
The auto-generated post includes a title with your years of experience, target role, and country (e.g., "7 YOE, Product Designer, USA"), plus a description summarizing your background and the feedback you're seeking.
📝 Note: Huntr only replaces data you've already included in your resume. If you didn't add a LinkedIn profile, that section won't appear. This lets the community see your resume's structure and provide feedback on your overall composition.
3. Customize Your Post
Before posting, you can edit the title or description to add specific context or questions. This helps you get more targeted feedback from the community.
4. Authorize and Post
Click "Get Feedback on HuntrCo subreddit" to begin posting. You'll be prompted to sign in to Reddit if you're not already logged in, then authorize Huntr to connect with your account.
We request minimal permissions to submit this single post only, and the authorization automatically expires after one hour. Click "Allow" to complete the process.
5.View Your Live Post
Your post is automatically submitted to r/HuntrCo from your Reddit account. You'll see a success message with a direct link to view and engage with your post on Reddit.
🙋Tip: If you're new to Reddit or the post is not appearing, it's likely Reddit has flagged your account and you may be unable to post. You can edit and adjust your resume manually to share, or reach out to Support via chat or email for more assistance.
What Happens Next
Once your post is live, our community and the Huntr team will review your resume and provide feedback. The team actively monitors r/HuntrCo daily to help users improve their resumes. You can engage with commenters and discuss their suggestions directly on your Reddit post.
Privacy & Security
Huntr only requests permission to submit a single post on your behalf, and this authorization expires after one hour. You maintain full control over your post and can edit or delete it anytime. All personally identifiable information is replaced with generic placeholders to protect your privacy.

Have your resume at a solid draft stage before requesting feedback. Use the description to ask specific questions like "Does my experience clearly demonstrate leadership skills?" Engage with the community by responding to comments and asking follow-up questions for deeper insights.
